Project notes
Portland, OR
Originally built in the 1920s as a PGE power station, the Turbine Hall at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is now a cherished landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While it remained a favorite among visitors, the space had grown outdated, with exhibits that lacked cohesion and a unifying theme. To revitalize the hall, OMSI partnered with Bearing to reimagine the space—creating a new experience centered on design thinking and collaborative problem solving.
